Race Course Instructions
What do you have toknow during the regatta weekend?
As most people know, the Heineken Roeivierkamp takes place on the Amstel, which runs right through Amsterdam. It’s not easy to close the busiest waterway in Amsterdam for an entire weekend, but we’ve been able to do this for over 50 years now. This unique two-day regatta features four distances:
On Saturday, the 2500m race is rowed, immediately followed by the 250m sprint.
On Sunday morning, a 5000m race is held. The competition concludes on Sunday afternoon with a 750m sprint.
In total, each crew will be on the water two to three times, as some categories won’t compete in the 750m sprint. Additionally, the club eights category has a capacity limit on the 5000 meters, with only the fastest 15 boats allowed to start the 750m sprint.
These videos provide a brief overview of the course and instructions on navigating the bridges.
