Pre-registrations for International crews wishing to participate in the 54th Heineken Roeivierkamp will open on November 10, 2025. Pre-registrations will close on December 12, 2025. You will find the pre-registration form here once it becomes available.

If there are more pre-registrations than available spots, a draw will take place. The results of this draw will be published on December 22nd. If your crew is selected, you will then receive instructions for the official registration.
Please note that this pre-registration is not the official registration and therefore does not guarantee participation in the Heineken Rowing Regatta.

Be sure to read the regulations (which you find at the bottom of this page) carefully. Please pay special attention to the fact that you do not need to take part in the draw if your crew finished in the top 50% of your category last year. You can check this in the 2025 results or in this document, where crews that are highlighted in green get an exemption from the draw. You will have the option to indicate this on the pre-registration form.

The registration fees for 2026 are:

• €237.50 for an 8+
• €189.50 for a 4x
• €439.50 for a business eight

Registrations for national crews are handled through the KNRB (Royal Dutch Rowing Federation).

These registrations are open from February 9, 2026, at 06:00 until March 9, 2026, at 23:50.

The draw will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, and the first 2500-meter race will start on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 9:30.

We hope to see you all on the water or at Nereus/Weesperzijde to cheer on the boats during these exciting race days.

Our timetable informs participants when and where they need to be. It includes the time for weighing in, collecting race numbers, and the start and gathering lists. Participating crews must carefully review this schedule.

This is the final timetable for the Heineken Roeivierkamp 2026, on March 14 and 15.

The Heineken Roeivierkamp follows the Dutch standard in divisions, based on international classifications outlined in the table at the bottom of the page.

Groups

A group consists of one or more divisions that start within a general ranking. Since 2016, this applies only to all men’s and women’s Master divisions. This means there are three groups: Men’s eights, Women’s eights, and Women’s double fours. On Saturday, these teams will start in the order of the draw within their respective division. On Sunday, they will start in (reverse) order of their position within the group.

Please note:

For the masters divisions, a minimum average age of at least … applies. The average age of a crew is determined based on the ages that will be reached during the current calendar year.

The minimum age for all masters categories is 22.

On the 14th and 15th of March 2026 the 54th Heineken Rowing Regatta will take place on the river Amstel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We are very happy to welcome participating teams from all over the world. The entries for international crews will be open from the 10th of November until the 12th of December 2025. Considering the fact that almost every 8+ and 4x in the Netherlands races at the Heineken Regatta, we kindly ask you to bring your own boat and oars. Often boat transport can be combined with other participating crews. Overseas crews and other international participants can contact boathouses in Amsterdam to rent a boat. Contact Isabel Bangma and Cilia Schoonhoven for more information about possible rent, contact details and rental fees. We can unfortunately not guarantee to have a boat available. Therefore, we recommend to bring own boats when that is possible.

Please note we do not arrange a cox or cox box. You have to sign a “declaration of own risk” before using the boat.

Will be sent to you by email after filing your entry. Your registration is only final after we received payment of the registration (and rental) fees. Note that you only have to pay if you are drawn (the draw will be held the week after the registrations close).

Weights

Lightweight rowers

Weigh-in takes place 2 to 3 hours before the start of the respective block in the weight room at Nereus.

Men: Boat average (rowers) in racing attire maximum 70.0 kg, individually not exceeding 72.5 kg.
Women: Boat average (rowers) in racing attire maximum 57.0 kg, individually not exceeding 59.0 kg.

Coxwains

There is no minimum weight for a coxswain in rowing attire.
