Race Course Instructions
What do you have toknow during the regatta weekend?
As most people know, the Heineken Roeivierkamp takes place on the Amstel, which runs right through Amsterdam. It’s not easy to close the busiest waterway in Amsterdam for an entire weekend, but we’ve been able to do this for over 50 years now. This unique two-day regatta features four distances:
On Saturday, the 2500m race is rowed, immediately followed by the 250m sprint.
On Sunday morning, a 5000m race is held. The competition concludes on Sunday afternoon with a 750m sprint.
In total, each crew will be on the water two to three times, as some categories won’t compete in the 750m sprint. Additionally, the club eights category has a capacity limit on the 5000 meters, with only the fastest 15 boats allowed to start the 750m sprint.
These videos provide a brief overview of the course and instructions on navigating the bridges.

Registration of boat trailers
In the weeks preceding the H4K weekend, boat trailers must be registered. This should be done at the Amsterdam Rowing Associations to which the participating associations are linked.
Registration
Register in the correct and corresponding form. Consult the boat trailer distribution (see the document above) to see which association/form you should register with:
-
Trailers assigned to RIC: https://www.ricamsterdam.nl/
botenwagen-aanmelden/ -
Trailers assigned to W3, Skøll, Poseidon: scroll down on this page for the registration form.
If possible, unload directly at Jan Vroegopsingel and park elsewhere.
The large boat trailers heading to Jan Vroegopsingel will have a designated spot where they do not need to be unloaded immediately. Smaller boat trailers should be unloaded as much as possible immediately. The boats should then be placed in the racks and not left on blocks or tresties, as this limits the available space.
An empty boat trailer & cars can be parked at the premises of the Police Training Center, behind the Rozenoordbrug. An empty boat trailer & cars may be parked there from Friday afternoon 15-03 until Sunday evening 17-03 at the latest. The area at Jan Vroegopsingel under the Rozenoordbrug may also be available.
Note: All boats must be removed from the racks by Sunday evening at the latest!
