Spectators
More than welcome
Spectators are more than welcome at the Heineken Roeivierkamp! On the map below, you can see the area around the finish line. It is possible to watch the finish from both Nereus and from across the river Amsetl (Weesperzijde). There are grandstands and various food and drink options on both sides. Additionally, the sale of official merchandise takes place at Nereus.
On Saturday and Sunday, races can be viewed throughout the day. The exact start time for each event can be found in the timetable and via Time-Team.
Preferably, come by bike or public transport. It’s only a 5-minute walk from the nearby Amstel station. Unfortunately, there are no parking facilities.
Unable to attend? The livestream by the Razende Reporters can be followed throughout the weekend via this link.

What shouldyou know
The Heineken Roeivierkamp is the traditional opening of the Dutch rowing season and takes place on the Amstel River in the heart of Amsterdam! The competition consists of four different distances (5000, 2500, 750, and 250 meters), spread over two days. This format is based on all-round skating. Every year, more than 400 teams (> 3800 rowers) from national and international rowing clubs compete for the prestigious Heineken trophy! Among the rowers are the international elite, and in addition, students, veterans, and juniors also find their way to the event year after year.
